Situated in the middle of the old city, a few steps away from the City Hall of Alicante and 5 minutes from the beach of El Postiguet, we are situated in a remarkable built in 1912 of great importance. This building was one of the first of which the facade was renovated by the municipal technicians in the course of the plan RACHA (Plan of rehabilitaion of the old city center of Alicante) and in which thanks to the initiative of the owners and with the help of oficial institutions (Patronato de la Vivienda y Conselleria de Obras Publicas) was renovated, including the roof, inner courts, staircases, insulation and punctual interventions in the structure of the building. Later, the owners of the hotel “Les Monges“, which at the beginning was a pension and only had 4 rooms in one of the appartments on the first floor, enlarged the establishment as to hold what is today a pleasant, comfortable, coquettish and charming „Hotelito“ house. Within the restoration and rehabilitation thinking also about the convenience, the charm of the original materials was maintained. The brickwork of stones on the exterior foundation, balconies, pillars, the window frames, the porch, the projective roofing with original tiles of ceramics, metalworks and wood works on windows and doors, etc, etc… This type of establishment, pioneer in this zone, can be catalogued as Hotel with charm, in an important zone, picturesque, unique and in integration with the city of Alicante and its old center.
