These are located in a special protected area, with landscape and environment, both highly prized for their merits. Santa Pola's Cape, 144 m high, is a unique example in Europe of a Messinian coral reef. The name of these coves dates from the Middle Ages when this area was called “El Port del Cap l’Aljub” the Harbour of the Headland Well. The name referred to a well that is located in the Castle-Fortress that was used to supply water to the warships sailing in the area. Length: 830 m. Services: Natural beach with basic equipment.
