Les Ortigues beach is located next to the dune complex of Guardamar: a long stretch of dunes of great natural attraction retained by an extensive pine forest. The dunes have been the object of restoration to facilitate the natural processes that provide the sand and later fix it allowing the development of the dune vegetation and preserving the interior of the east winds. It has a length of 1,490 meters and an average width of 60 meters. Its occupation during all the season is estimated in medium, also due to its great amplitude.
