The Cap d'Or peninsula shelters the fine sandy beach of Playa del Portet, which boasts crystal clear waters, This small, shell-shaped beach is a magnificent place for enjoying a peaceful swim, exploring the underwater environment or doing some kayaking. The starting point of a symbolic hiking route to the Cap d'Or watchtower and the plant micro-reserve that shares its name, begins here. It is also the starting point on the coastal lookout point route, a walk which runs along the coast. Semi-urban beach edged by a pleasant seafront promenade. This busy beach is around 300 metres long and 10 metres wide. It is mostly covered in fine sand, although there is a rocky area too. There is a ramp for launching small boats. Services in summer: lifeguards, surveillance, foot showers, WC, walkways, car park, canoes, restaurants.
