The L’Albarda garden is a reference model in the world of Mediterranean gardening. Created in 1990, this garden shows us the great richness of the flora linked to this climate. In addition to its great botanical biodiversity, L’Albarda has a formal garden and a wild garden, recreating the image of the old Valencian Renaissance gardens, influenced by Arab culture. Being a Renaissance garden the architectural aspects are of great importance. The visitor will observe walks, pergolas, pavilions and fountains of great beauty that will transport their imagination to times gone by. A garden with a formal aesthetic has ordered spaces, architectural lines and well-defined geometric lines. With regard to finishes and decoration, we can find Baroque, Renaissance and Neoclassical details with species that are very resistant to climatic changes and slow growing. Trees: cypress, palm, oak, magnolia, flowering pear, and rowan Shrubs: boxwood, yew, myrtle, laurel, holly, eponymous, nymus or camellia.
