Also known as the Sierra de San Julián, the Serra Grossa is located in the city of Alicante, facing the Mediterranean Sea. Its 161 meters of height offers stunning views of Alicante's coast, being a relatively easy climb. On clear days, you can see the Island of Tabarca, Benidorm and Santa Pola, as well as the Castle of Santa Bárbara and the city of Alicante. You can walk it in about two and a half hours (5.2 km), visiting the different viewpoints, rock shelters and pine forests, in addition to the views of the Mediterranean. It is a very good route to do as a family and take spectacular photos. It also hosts "Trail" events, such as 10 km. of the Serra Grossa Trail, so it is a good place to practice this sport.
