"Caleta dels Gossets" is in Cabo de Santa Pola, an extremely valuable environmental area. The Cove's name was chosen from all the suggestions sent in by boys and girls from all the primary schools in and around Santa Pola. This is a place where your dogs can enjoy playing on the beach and having a swim with you. It's very important that you follow the basic rules for use and environmental conservation. By keeping the Cove clean and tidy you're making sure it's still here in years to come. So, it's up to all of us to look after it. Please bear in mind that this cove is NOT for the sole and exclusive use of dog owners. Don't forget to bring your dog's up‐to‐date vaccination record with you. Access to the Cove is not permitted to dogs with ongoing infectious diseases, females on heat and puppies who have not yet had all their vaccinations. You must pick up your dog's mess, so please make sure you're carrying enough bags and remember to put them in the bins provided. If your dog is classed as a dangerous breed, it must be wearing a muzzle and collar and you must keep it on the lead. Only two dogs per person are allowed at the cove. Dog training and classes led by professional instructors are not permitted on this beach. Dogs with a history of aggressive behaviour towards other animals are banned from the cove. Please remember that these rules have been made to ensure that hygiene standards required by law are met and to provide a pleasant experience for everyone using the Cove. To comply with applicable legislation, the Beaches Department carries out regular analyses and tests on the sand and bathing water at the Cove and publishes the results on the noticeboards for your information.
This small cove separates the two main beaches of Levante and Poniente. It is located between Punta Canfali and the port. With a length of about 120 meters, fine golden sand and offers a quieter more relaxed atmosphere. Opposite the beach is l'Illa de Benidorm (Benidorm Island) which houses a submerged platform known as La Llosa, an important marine reserve a treat for scuba divers. This good quality beach has been in the possession of a Blue Flag since 1987. Between La Marina and the mouth of the segura River, two kilometres of fine, golden sand on the beach of Les Pesqueres – El Rebollo go deep into the local town of Guardamar del Segura. Catalogued with a blue flag status, it is an unspoilt area in which dunes and pines forests mix together, resulting in an ecosystem of high environmental value. An enclosed area that also has a restaurant along the access route, lifeguard vigilance, parking areas and regular bus services running towards and from Elche and the nearby town of San Fulgencio. There is likewise the possibility to do water sports, thanks to an area reserved solely for this purpose.
The Carabassi is a beach formed by a dune system and pine forests. It is located between Santa Pola and Arenales del Sol district. Of great ecological value.
